Advance America, Cash Advance Centers, Inc. is the largest provider of payday cash advance services in the United States, as measured by the number of payday cash advance centers operated. We operated approximately 2,850 payday cash advance centers and 84 limited licensees in 35 states, the United Kingdom and Canada. Payday cash advances are small-denomination, unsecured advances that are typically due on the customer's next payday. We provide these services primarily to middle-income working individuals. We do not franchise any of our payday cash advance centers.
